Those landlords who could be called ‘reluctant’ have, in the last two or three years, sold their properties,  so we are left with possibly a longer term and more committed approach.

As a result, in the spring, some rents were reduced to keep activity levels up but now there seems to be good demand and we are arranging lots of lets right across the price range.

Our stock levels are good and our transaction levels are positive.

On the sales side we feel that there is a very gentle decline in prices continuing, probably reflecting national uncertainties in part but also increasing global concerns.

As always in the Newbury area, employment levels are exceptionally good and this sustains confidence and house transactions. Our viewing levels are very high, stock levels are good and there is generally a positive feeling amongst our vendors.  Competitively and correctly priced, not cheap, will almost guarantee a sale in a reasonable period of time and we will always of course help you to negotiate the purchase of your new home if that is useful.
